Wordpress plugin for LLM Optimizer

The Salespeak LLM Optimization plugin enhances your WordPress site by detecting AI visitors (such as ChatGPT, GPTBot, BingPreview, and PerplexityBot) and serving optimized responses directly from a Salespeak-managed origin.

Regular human visitors continue to see your site exactly as usual—no changes or interruptions.

1️⃣ Install the Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.

  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

  3. Download the Salespeak plugin file. Download Plugin 

  4. Upload the downloaded file to your WordPress admin panel.

  5. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

2️⃣ Configure the Plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin panel, go to Settings → Salespeak LLM Optimizer.

  2. Click “Connect to your Salespeak account.”

  3. Follow the on-screen authentication steps.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Once connected, the plugin will begin detecting AI crawlers and serving optimized responses automatically.

3️⃣ Handling WordPress Caching 

If your site uses WordPress caching, you should exclude AI crawlers from being cached. This ensures AI bots receive fresh optimized responses instead of cached pages.

Common caching systems include:

  • LiteSpeed Cache

  • WP Engine Cache

  • Cloudflare

  • WP Rocket

LiteSpeed Cache Configuration

If you are using LiteSpeed Cache, follow these steps:

  1. Go to:

LiteSpeed Cache → Cache → Excludes

  1. Find the section:

Do Not Cache User Agents

  1. Add the following user agents:

ChatGPT-User
BingPreview
PerplexityBot
Claude-User
Claude-Web
ClaudeBot

  1. Save your changes.

This ensures AI crawlers bypass the cache and receive optimized responses from Salespeak.

WP Engine Cache Configuration

If your website is hosted on WP Engine, their EverCache® system may cache pages for AI crawlers. To ensure AI visitors receive Salespeak-optimized responses, you should exclude AI user agents from caching.

Option 1 — Using WP Engine Cache Exclusion

  1. Log in to your WP Engine User Portal.

  2. Navigate to your environment.

  3. Go to:

Caching → Page Cache Settings

  1. Add the following User Agents to exclude from caching:

ChatGPT-User
BingPreview
PerplexityBot
Claude-User
Claude-Web
ClaudeBot

 

Option 2 — Using WP Engine Support 

If the option is not available in your portal, you can request the exclusion through WP Engine Support.

Send them the following request: 

"We are using the Salespeak LLM Optimization plugin and need to exclude the following user agents from caching so AI crawlers can receive optimized responses.

Please exclude these user agents from EverCache:

ChatGPT-User
BingPreview
PerplexityBot
Claude-User
Claude-Web
ClaudeBot"
